Growing

Hi guys, how are we all doing? I hope the rain and the cold isn't getting to us. Please be fine.

Hebrews 6:1 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Therefore let us get past the elementary stage in the teachings about the Christ, advancing on to maturity and perfection and spiritual completeness, [doing this] without laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

So a lot of us since we've been born again we've not moved past the repentance stage, I mean every year back to back we are rededicating our lives to God. We haven't gone past the confession and elementary stage, we are still there, amassing Bibles at every Altar Call, or books that are given to those who give their lives. We aren't advancing, we aren't maturing, we still are among those that live by the mantra 'no one is perfect' so don't have the drive to become better or become perfect.

Many of us are not even spiritually whole, incomplete, not having a relationship with the Holy Spirit. For some of us, our spirit man is sleeping like Snow White just waiting for that breath of life like in Gen 2:7, so many of us cannot even feel the move of the Spirit. Something always jumps out to me in the story of the Shunammite woman, the Bible said she told her husband about Elisha "I perceive he is a man of God". I believe she could perceive because her inner man was more attuned with the Spirit than anything else.

Apostle Paul in this verse said we should be able to advance into maturity, perfection and spiritual wholeness without first having a long exhortation or admonishment about repentance and having deep, unwavering faith in God. It is like having to remind a one year old child that he's no longer a child so he needs to start walking. The child naturally grows from crawling to walking on to puberty. That's how our growth should be.
