As Eagles

Happy weekend guys, the traffic is pretty bad and I'm still a long way from my destination. However,

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.

The major thing we need to succeed is to wait on God. Don't preempt Him, don't make decisions for Him, don't imagine hearing Him. Wait on Him, now waiting on Him isn't only about Instructions or answers but also about watching earnestly for His second coming. Be expectant, be giddy with excitement because you know He's coming. As you do so you receive strength and fresh power to overcome and wait. Your faith is renewed and your strength is renewed as well. Then you'll mount (very swift and stress free) up not climb (which is rather strenuous) up with wings, notice the words 'as eagles' not 'like eagles'. You will rise up regally as an eagle.

You'll run and not collapse out of drudgery or dehydration and you'll walk and not be weary. It means in walking and running the Christian race you have an assurance not because of the capacity of your strength but as a function of your waiting.

Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror. I know how a lot of us go about in Word Conferences and be shouting "Hmm Rhema!" upandan, biko don't get annoyed but all the Rhema you've been getting what have you used it for exactly? Abi you are now a keeper that all you do is catch Rhema, without retaining possession of the Rhema you've received. The truth is that if we've put into practice all the Rhema we've received then we would have become better Christians. Hello, how are you guys doing.
