Righteous Instruments
Hi guys, yesterday was a glitch as I was just getting used to my environment. So lemme leave this with y’all:
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.”
Romans 6:13 KJV
So this verse tells me that the individual parts of our body can commit sin, and Apostle Paul is saying we shouldn’t yield, like when your eyes wants to look at someone lustfully, or when your hand wants to take what doesn’t belong to you, could even be your legs leading you to an evil place, you are not to yield at all.
The verse before was talking about not allowing sin take over your body and this verse talks about not yielding your members (body parts) to sin. Yield yourself rather to God wholly and fully. When your eyes wants to look lustfully, instead look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith, when your hands wanna pick something that’s not yours, instead pick a Bible (hard copy or mobile).
The secret is to get distracted with the things of God, because you died with Christ, you are dead to sin and you rise up with Him unto righteousness and your members are to be instruments of righteousness.
