Wise Giving

Hi guys, happy new week. Lemme quickly say the post about moral decadence and our positions as Christians birth a prayer in my heart which God has answered, Leadway Insurance took this guys in boxers and dressed them in agbadas, with new placards. Prayer works! What a splendid way God turned it around. I was caught up in something, so I couldn’t really post yesterday. Here goes sha, before that, guys please I need your take on the blog, should it still be a go? Or should it be scrapped? Please do send your feedback, it will be appreciated:

2 Corinthians 9:7-8 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift]. 8 And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.

A lotta us are so fond of quoting the verse 8 of that chapter and totally ignoring the verse above it. It says when giving it must be thoughtful and with a purpose (not selfish sha), it should involve your heart. Your whole heart should be in the gift, it shouldn’t seem like you’ve been forced or that you see it as a duty. I guess that’s why evangelism is a bit difficult for some of us, it is a service that should be as a result of our love for God and the lost sheep and not just ‘the great commission’.

It’s because God loves a cheerful giver that He makes His grace available in abundance to them, because He knows as much as He gives them, they are more than willing to give to others. So He ignores how gigantic the need is, He disdains the timeline just so you can have not just ordinary sufficiency but complete sufficiency and have a lot in store for every other good thought you have towards others.

The grace is sufficient to the cheerful givers, its exclusive grace.
